Ägeri Farbig means something like "Colored Ägeri" or "Vivid Ägeri". Ägeri is the name of the little pre-alpine valley (and its lake) where I live.
Ägeri Farbig is a volunteer organization of knitters. Each year they decorate something outdoors with colorful yarn squares. In previous years they have wrapped trees in local parks. This year they decorated this old wooden house in the middle of Unterägeri village. The house is decorated with over 7,000 knitted squares contributed by nearly 300 knitters from here and abroad.
It's on the route I take to walk to a couple bakeries and the lake, so I see it often. Whenever I do it always brightens my day.
